Telephone & Internet
In Financial UA, we use all forms of communication to expand and support our financial recovery; to connect with other Financial UA members by way of outreach; and to interview more experienced members-- asking them for their experience, strength and hope. This may take the form of email, phone calls, video conferencing, texting or the prudent use of social media platforms.
Our members regularly attend FUA meetings held over free telephone conference calls and also over internet based video conferencing services. This is in addition to face to face meetings, workshops and recovery bootcamps or share-a-day events.
FUA also maintains a limited social media presence for the purpose of providing public information. These public information campaigns often take the form of pre-recorded videos, created within the World Service Office, and used as public service announcements to help facilitate Fellowship awareness with the general public. FUA also maintains a private and secure email list of its members who wish to receive daily email notifications of FUA meetings or events scheduled throughout the week. Any member can expressly request to join the email list or request to be removed from the email list. These additions or removals are handled by the FUA World Service Office. FUA is extremely cautious around the topic of attraction vs. promotion and how important it is to weigh the necessity of being technologically up to date to administratively run the program; to have a public identity that allows newcomers to find and join the fellowship; while also maintaining the highest level of security to protect the anonymity of the members.
